Neurosurgery & ENT Procedures

Surgery on or in proximity to more delicate areas of the neuroanatomy may benefit from neuromonitoring. Depending on the structures at risk certain specialist techniques have been developed such as D-wave, H-reflex, BAEPs as well as triggered and free-running EMG. Each technique can provide valuable information on the function of different aspects of the nervous system, which may prove invaluable during surgery to these delicate structures. Commonly monitored neurosurgical procedures: Excision of spinal or spinal cord tumours, parotidectomy, thyroidectomy, excision of nerve root tumours, spinal decompression.
